7 Things

I hate about ushering the New Year

One

I get no new year's kiss

TWO

when it is time to reflect on resolutions made in the beginning of the year you tend to regret on those resolutions you did not achieve. That feeling sucks.

3

I am older by another year.

FOUR

as I get older, more responsibilities. new year, new responsibilities whether you like it or not.

5ive

new year does not feel new at all

Six

I need to work on new year's eve

7even

bad traffic.

7 Things

I Like About Christmas...

ONe

It's all about giving and receiving. Presents. Gifts. Anyway you want to call it.

Two

No matter how old you are. Married or Single. You would still receive gifts. (Unlike Chinese New Year, people dread to hand you an Ang Pow if you are too old and unmarried. Just sayin')

THREE

It's not about money. Fortune. or Wealth.
People pray for each other. Sincerely or not.
And it always about family.
(Unlike Chinese New Year, all I hear is "I wanna be richer this year" "Money" "Ong, ong, ong"... sickening.... Just sayin'. Again)

4

I feel happier just knowing it's Christmas.

Five

I love Turkey. and Red Wine. and Barbecue.

6

Because Red, White and Green are the perfect match.

Seven

Because Christmas Carols are soothing and calming and beautiful.

Happy Christmas!

The angry post. Run while you can.

Can I say, I FUCKING HATE DECEMBER!?

Can I say, I freaking hate December?

I am so freaking tired I could sleep while eating.

I am drained.

Apart from doing shitty task for people, I need to cover my own ass as well!

How awesome!

I am tired.

I am tired.

I am tired.

Imagine walking a total distance of 2 km and I am not even out of the compound of my workplace! plus the heat, the smell and the dust!

and to attend to stupid emails. from stupid people.

makes me want to kill someone.

really.

the feeling of being (told of being an) inconvenience is a mixture of humiliation and anger with a dash of defected ego and adjusted with tantrum just to cover the overwhelming taste of humiliation and sadness and to overwhelm the taste of lost dignity ... but it failed to remove disappointment. wondering how should I formulate this and put it up into SAP and to be followed by SEQUIN and FINI.

Shocking!

I was at this concert yesterday night. Yeah, you heard me right. I went to a mando-pop concert. Can't imagine? LOL
(was given free tickets so why not!)
Though mando- and canto-pop were never in my list since like forever, nevertherless I have to say I am super impressed with his wide vocal range. He HAS a WIDE vocal range and it is impressive.
Sorry I only know now. Yeah, ignorant "cina". Yeah, me.
and OMG he sings and writes jazz!
How cool is that!
I did enjoyed his concert although the crowds a bit crappy, boring and unsupportive and blur. Wait! and lame too.
(I can't believe they don't cheer and clap for his talented BAND!
his bassist, guitarist, trumpetist and pianist played wonderfully and yet the audience did not understand their solo parts!)
Sorry I'm not a fan of his. I can't go shouting and cheering hysterically. I only support him by giving him a standing ovation.
To sum up he is musically and vocally talented. and I can't wait to discover more local artiste like him. Not those gedik kind tho. We kinda have plenty of them. lol.

I have rights to declare that

1. I am having PMS
2. you should not annoy or piss me by asking why I am losing weight. I don't freaking EVER want to ANSWER to THAT QUESTION!
3. If you do not want to be YELLED AT, DO NOT ASK ME THAT FRIGGIN' QUESTION!
4. I hate being given indecisive answers. JUST Answer THAT FRIGGIN' question.

6. I want every thing normal. Normal. But it ain't happening.
7. I hope this is just another PMS period.

Cramped up!

I can't believe just last weekend I was in Kuching and now here I am, at home!
I missed my time in Kuching! =( though she rained on my parade the very day I arrived. HAHA. More Kuching stories soon!

Pretty ain't it?

Lots happened last month and now and plenty things to do for the next few weeks until I am settled with my new job and home.
Yup! I am going to start anew in another company (in Nilai) and moving to another state in August!
Got a place (a room to be exact) just 5 minutes from my workplace. Convenient right.
Must say, I am partly excited and partly scared as well. HAHA. *fingers crossed* Hopefully everything goes well!

Updates coming soon!

Last Day!

Day 30: A vivid memory

So many memories to choose from! GAH!

This is definitely not my favourite memory. nevertheless the most vivid memory ever. that I could never forget.
You see, when I was young, either my mom or dad would accompany me to piano examinations. Of course between the two of them I would always prefer my mom though she would always smother me with her don't-be-afraid vibe. Dad on the other hand was always cool and calm and collected. That freaked me out even more because I had to pretend I was as cool and calm and collected as him. Trust me, I was not calm nor cool nor enjoying the moment. I could barely feel my fingers! So days leading up to exam, I'd pray super duper hard for my mom to be my company. Yeah, what a stressful childhood.

So now, I'm gonna give myself a big pat on my back for making it to the end of June!

and thanks for sticking with me!
Can't wait for July! and of course August! Big days ahead and big decisions to make.
haha!

Happy July guys!

Letting Go.

Gosh, it's the end of the challenge tomorrow!
Can't believe June is gone. Just like that!

Anyways, for today's topic I need to relate to the word letting go.

Letting go, for me at the moment would be,
Comfort.
and
Security.
Since I am about to leave my current job and move to Nilai. Yes, I am. Haha. Hope the transition goes well for me! *fingers crossed*

Girl Rising

Day 25: Something you read online. Leave a link and discuss, if you'd like.
I am a strong believer in equality. I know many who doesn't believe so. Gender Equality? To many it is bullshit. To me, it is even a bigger bullshit to call it bullshit.
Why us girls can't have the same things or achieve what the opposite sex could. We too are humans.
I am appalled and saddened to read on how girls around the world (and even in Malaysia) get exploited by not just men, women as well. How ridiculous.
Though I may not have the rights to judge ones culture but this is the 21st century for Gods' sake.
Girls ain't weak and stupid as you think we are. (I am not a sexist. I'm just asking for fair treatment)
Our place is not in the kitchen only. We can do many things. Trust me.
So boys and girls, I am sharing HERE a project I think would get people to change their perspective on the female gender. At least.

"You're fat already!"

Today on the challenge: Something someone told you about yourself that you'll never forget.

I used to be really skinny and small when I was really young. If I were to show you my health card back in primary school (Yeah I am still keeping it! HAHA) you will definitely laugh your arses off seeing how I progressed in height and weight over the course of 6 years. HAHA. no joke.

So when I was about 7 or 8 (I guessed) my dad's childhood friend Uncle Albert (We call him Uncle Bert HAHA) - he'd always visit us after work or in the weekends- held my hand and showed me something he said is fats. He happily showed me and say "you're not skinny anymore!". I, believed him and immediately showed my mom. Everyone at home laughed. The end. HAHA.

I'd never forget that because when I was young my mom used to feed me with loads of food and supplements to help my growth and gain weight. (I guessed she was in a bit of stress because people began questioning if my parents actually fed me.) Laugh all you want but it's true. It didn't work at all. Not until I reached puberty that I started gaining a bit of weight. (Height I'm not too sure but at one point or another I just stopped growing.) and from this point onwards, my weight go up and down and up and down. It's crazy. Trust me. . No more, no less. But I can gain weight like crazy. and loose 'em easily if I am in the period of losing weight. Like now.

So yeah, I was actually a tad happy when he told me that. HAHA.

Top Three

By now most of you should have known me....... and my worst traits.
(it's gonna be a redundant post I guess)

so Topic for Day 24 is........ ::drumrolls::

Yeah 3 worst traits

Number ONE

I am hyper-sensitive. I cry when I am sad. I cry when I am hurt. I cry when I am angry. I may also cry when I am super happy. and when I laugh too much.

In a nutshell, I am a cry baby.

Number TWO.

I am temperamental. Yes. I sold myself with this trait before. (Read Day 11) If you are still buying it then THANKS! HAHA

Number THREE.

I am selfish. I always expect people to return the same courtesy I give. More, I am fine with it. Give me less or none, I will actually hate you.

Things Life told me...

Today's topic is things that school won't teach you

1. Every thing in this world, it is about money. You need it to survive. And people change (though they may continue to deny) because of money.
2. To think outside the box. "Learn to read people around you. It's for protection sake", Life said.
3. People will hurt you. You might (naively) expect people to return the same courtesy you gave. But sorry, Life told me "you are too naïve." Life said, "don't expect too much. You'd hurt yourself more. because human beings never cease to disappoint. Learn to protect yourself at the right time."

In my soapbox

Day 21: Rant about something. Get up on your soapbox and tell us how you really feel.

I'm not making this topic up by the way.
Gosh, she gave me a challenge that has a soapbox! How lovely!
HAHA

I feel like shit today (Saturday) - Yeah I'm writing from the future.
I feel sores every where. Especially my face. no pun intended. and then migraine came.

But that is not the point.
The point is why do I have to work so hard and in the end it goes unappreciated.
I have feelings too. Yeah I know I am a super sensitive person. (Will get to that soon)
But don't I deserve to be respected?
I waited for nothing!
Why I have to always be the time keeper! Everytime! Everywhere! For years!
I sacrificed part of my brain to keep track of stuff for years! but none of it is appreciated.
None.
Not even now.
I waited and waited and waited.
Do you know how that feels like?
when all you get is just a sorry.
Call me a drama queen or whatever shit you can but
do you think it is right to treat me that way?
Why?
Why do I have to endure this?
I'd realized all these while, while I make sure I am in track of time, while I make sure I do not let people wait endlessly for me (I'd inform at least if I am late) someone is just taking my effort lightly.
To keep track of time requires effort. I know because I am always doing that.
Is it too much to ask from you? To not make me look like a fool, waiting?

Please? Must I beg?

I seemed like I need to beg even after I wasted my tears for nothing.

So I wish for an answer my dear readers.

Am I asking too much?

Let's travel back in time

It's list of links to your favorite posts in your archives challenge!

I dug and dug and dug through the archives and look what I have found!

Funny How Things Happen- Funny I still get questioned by curious cats out there. HAHA.

Melts my heart- My favourite line from a movie. Loved to share it with you all again =)

Wise words from a wise man- my favourite columnist. Wise words. Worth taking down. =)

Another beautiful line- I don't tend to write beautiful things in my blog but I found a few I thought it would be nice to share it again. No rants this time ::teehee::

Struggles Oh Struggles

Day 20! Get real. Share something you're struggling with right now.

My struggles would be me, myself and I.
Sometimes I feel like I am in a battle. My head is like a battle. No, seriously.
It's always my sanity against my rationality or my rationality going against my emotions and my temperamental-self.

This process goes on and on and on and on all day long. Everyday.

I hate being mad at things and people. I tried super duper hard not to. Sometimes it gets really annoying when I know I should not get mad but I couldn't control my feelings! How fucked up! See! now I'm cursing. That word was in my head so my autopilot fingers had to type it out.

Damnit.

I need a shrink.

If you would understand

Tell a story from your childhood. Dig deep and try to be descriptive about what you remember and how you felt.
Honestly I wished I could skip this topic. Dig deep? Oh my.

One fact. Two facts you should know.
I am petite. Like very small, petite. Short. Geddit?

and I am the youngest in the family.

So, when I was younger I would always be left out when it comes to tagging along the adults to say a day trip or short vacation. And the reason was (always) that I am too young and little. And they have their hands full. In the end, I'd be the one bidding goodbye at the gate, seeing my sisters off to their trips. Then all I left with were tears. (Mind you I am super sensitive. Beware.)

I can actually remember when I was as young as five. (Food for thought: I am not keeping grudge)

From those memories I guessed I forced myself to grow up and be independent. So I chose to go trips (school annual camping trips back in those days) on my own. (Although teachers did annoy me by asking if my parents want to pay them to babysit me) I learned to take it in stride and I began making my own decisions and not wanting to get People's hand fuller than they can handle. Despite being short and small I did what I like and what people think I couldn't.
I may be amusing for some but I can never compromise nor forgive when my feelings are being disregarded and toyed. So I chose to protect myself and love myself even more.
I did not regret, not even for one moment, for the choices I have made.

p.s. I wished I could spill something funny or happy but looking back into my childhood this is the first thing that came into my mind. Sorry for being too deep.

A Favourite Photo. Why

I love this topic, actually. As I browsed through the topics(deciding if I want to go ahead with the challenge) I had a mental picture of what it would be.

Here it is!

It probably isn't the nicest nor the best picture of myself (I guessed) but I liked it so much 'cause I could genuinely see through my eyes how fuzzy I was at that time. A lot of pictures are shots of me smiling widely while my heart isn't. How I feel was clearly captured here.

Day 16

It's Day 16! woo hoo! I am halfway through the challenge Pheeewww!

Something difficult about your "lot in life" and how you're working to overcome it.
I seriously have no idea what "lot in life" means. My Manglish is getting suckier day by day.
All I got from Google is It means one's way of life or worldly fate. HUH?!

But I don't know why most challenger used it to describe their family or husbands. So I guess Google is wrong? or those bloggers are dumb too. HAHA

Anyways I'll go for the Dumb option.

Difficulties about my "lot in life"

Hmm

Family doesn't understand me and I don't bother at the same time?
I hate LDR?

WOoookayyy...I'll keep my rants next.

I am making my amends by replacing those missing posts by today (It's actually 6.35pm on Saturday the 15th- so I am writing from the future :P)
Sorryyyy!

Most embarrassing moment

Gosh! This is tough!

I embarrassed myself A LOT. But I tend to force myself to forget it. HAHA.

If I'd to name one real quick it'd be when I dropped my Touch n Go card and caused quite a queue at the back because that stupid card somehow "rolled" under my car and hardly reachable. so yeah it took me quite sometime to retrieve it. and additional info it happened on a weekday. during rush hour. HAHA

A moment in my day

As soon as I get out of my car, I have these two cutie pies waiting for my arrival.
How can I resist the temptation to scoop both up and cuddle them?!

Love and cherish you LIFE

Day 8!
 IT IS RIGHTEOUS DAY EIGHT!
time for a piece of advice anyone?

Well, if I may just do this for the sake of the challenge
that advice would be
Love your life period
I may be genetically a health-freak. I suspected that for sometime now. Looking back at my childhood and now. Errr.. it's kinda possible.
Back to the topic
To be honest no one is too young or too old to lead a healthy lifestyle.
I know by now you lot must be thinking ARE YOU KIDDING
or rolling your eyes 'cause I sound like an old granny nagging
but seriously
why wait till you are sick to regret the choices you make?
and believe me those choices affects those around you as well.

I'll let you think about it.

What I Do.

I get this a lot. and if I don't answer with my job, I will definitely be out of answer.

I am a Chemist.

"What do you do?"
What comes next is...

Of course
"Do you make bombs?"

(Well, I get this a lot too upon mentioning the word "Chemist".)

To cut to the chase,

I DO NOT make bombs.

No, I don't (for the umpteenth time).

I deal with chemicals. Chemicals are a part of our life and I am (currently) working in a pulp and paper industry. or more specifically I work with the pulp and paper industry.

and

That's all.

Favourite Quote

I really have no clue on what I should write today! Quotes? Crap, I can't remember a single quote! Of course I have read or heard something really profound. I just couldn't recall what they were. This is embarrassing but I have to admit that I went searching my mini collection of books for quotes! Haha!

Here goes.....

"This is my simple religion.
There is no need for temple;
no need for complicated philosophy.
Our own brain, our own heart is our temple;
the philosophy is kindness."

-His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama

Picked this up from my favourite author Jodi Picoult.

No doubt, when I picked this book (Change of Heart) I instantaneously remember it contained the most heartwarming quotes.
But this is my favourite. Those printed words represented what I believed in. What I believe in.

Have a great Wednesday!

Things that make me uncomfortable

Easy Peasy!

To name a few
1. Compliments. Although I appreciate each and every compliments I get, be it from friends, families, strangers and you my Dear, sometimes ... I mean sometimes it can get to a point where these compliments are way, way toooo overwhelming to accept. I mean, just saying...
Thanks though for your generous compliments! Haha!

2. Stares. In fact I hate it when people stare at me! It is as if I have broccoli in between my teeth or am partially naked in public.

3. Plate full with food. HAHA! I mean really, I feel sick whenever people try to serve me a mountain load of food.

I shall keep this post short or else I'll end up ranting HAH!

Day Two

and I'm feeling the pressure already! the pressure to keep this challenge going HAHA

So let's dive into Day Two, shall we?

Well, I'm supposed to be writing about something I know a lot about or am good at.
Trust me, I have no idea.

If I were to make a list, well I'd have to say
1) music(?)
2) cooking(??)
3) (????????)

Both are pretty subjective and I ain't no expert to educate you guys on it. Therefore I'd only have two words for today
that is
Practice
and
Practice

Why?

Firstly, in cooking, without practice and trying out different recipes you would definitely not know the vast flavours brought about by every herbs and spices and ingredients. and by experimenting on them you could create your very own recipes!

and unless you are a music prodigy (well, I'm not) practice is of course a must if you intend to expand your repertoire!

There, there..... striking out another topic. Yay!

p.s. Title for today is "Educate us on something you know alot about or are good at. Take any approach you'd like (serious and educational or funny and sarcastic)"

Saturday, June 1, 2013

250 words or less

Hello June!
and Hello to Day One of Blog Every Day in June challenge.
"It's June already??!!"
Yeah, that's what I thought.

Anyways...
today's topic is "the story of your life in 250 words or less"

So here goes the condensed version of the condensed version of my life!

I was born in Klang on 24/7/1989 and have been living in my parents' house for almost 23 years and 7 months(?). I am petite (another word for short!) and yes you can ask me why I am short because after being asked for about 234789012378945 times, I don't really mind. I studied and stayed in Penang for 3 years. Made lots of memories there and what not. And of course, began a relationship with my guy there (Who knew!). Now I'm back in my hometown, working and trying to fulfill my dreams and what not. I do not have a strong belief in anything religion but I am bounded by and I live with my own moral code/ethics and sanity and rationality. and I intent to live my life the way I want. THE END.

Blog Every Day In June

I, personally think I am not a blogger(actually, this is true).
Why?
'Cause I rant more than telling stories about my (daily) life/experiences. And every rants and rambles has a story behind it and only those involved would understand. Given they actually read my blog.
Anddd I care less about writing cool/good/interesting/perfect/funny posts.

So, being in this blogosphere for 6 7 years, I ought to do something bloggers do. which is, well, of course BLOG!

Hence A new challenge for this reluctant blogger...

::Blog everyday in June::

p.s. found this challenger on some random website. she prepared all the post topics so what the heck, I'll take it!

and pssst! Julie/Julia project coming soon!

Everything changes

I have never cried so badly in my dreams. Not until now. waking up with swollen eyes. Choking. Breathless. Headache.
I wished it wouldn't come true.

Monday, May 6, 2013

what use or good will come if I speak and all that comes after that is only silence. and all I am reduced to is tears. hence I chose Silence as well. at least I do not have to wait for an answer.
what can I hold on to if I hear plans but to be stood up time after time?
what hurts the most is when you're stood up and forgotten and still have to pretend everything is ok.
what if I am not ok.
it is just not acceptable.
because I have to be happy, sweet, jolly, pretty, always smiling, always strong...
what if I am just not

The tale of the circle

An observer of that little circle, a Jasmine tree is all required to stay away, to stay grounded. But no man is without greed. That observer no less.
How do you feel? A question that will never surface. Ever.

it's good to have an alter ego

to remind me the Better Days are all my creations.
to console me when I lost the Better Days.
to re-create a new Better Day.

To dream about locking doors and windows. Anyone have any idea what that could mean? LOL

Gawd I need help! I want to sleep! I am sleep- deprived. But I don't wanna take sleeping pills!

The lyrical part of life

Living and chasing
Good scenery like illusion
Keep on chasing, chase for every moment in life
but it's stupid
Keep on chasing, chase for the basic need of life
But I've got so much

when it is too much

Can you "over-care" a person?

If it is possible then probably we should invent a "care-meter". In the event we "over-care" someone it will beep. An indication that we should stop before it gets too overwhelming.

I'm turning into a Sara Fitzgerald.

Do I?

Fuzzy lil people

I met Fear the night I watched medical officers working around my Dad.
I met Fear when doctor told me he was having a heart attack.
I met Fear and he made my legs go weak.
I met Fear and he took all sense and sensibility away and left me with tears. That will forever be there when I think of this.
It was just one night and one call and everything went fuzzy.
and I realised just how fragile my dearest Dad is. Our Macgyver, our funny guy, our strong man has reached his limit.
I'm sorry Dad for the trauma u went through. Twice. and I wasn't there.

equal prime bracket hashtag disappointed

phase one. sugar, spices and every thing nice.

phase two. discovery/realization that a sugar once digested can never be a sugar. and those mentioned above are too difficult to be given the second time cos sugar has been digested. and the system trusted the sugar given as sugar.

phase three. hit on head and realized sugar is easy to be given but difficult to digest.

last phase. numb mode. Delete hope.

you asked for it?

one of
the most absurd.
disturbing.
disgusting.
dumbest.
ridiculous.
stupid.
idiotic.
thing in the world...

a rape victim (WOMAN) is as GUILTY as the man (RAPIST)

why?

because women instigate men to commit such crimes !?

OMG

no

OMFG!

Common sense must have lost its way!

so in conclusion women asked for it? ASKED TO BE RAPED?

So does it mean that people, who work hard and make money, asking to be robbed????

women make men go all hot because of how us women dress in public?

are they fucking serious?

If a scientist could actually make men bear children, wanna bet? us WOMEN will go extinct almost instantaneously because everything seemed to be OUR fault. because we ASKED for it. because the world has lost its common sense.

The world is a beautiful place. What makes it horrible is human. and male chauvinism.
Let me be clear. I am feminist. not a sexist. I do not hate the opposite sex. I am raised by my father. and I adore him a lot. He doesn't smoke, drink, and fool around.

Women and men can't be equally the same. Wanna know why?

Physical attributes.

Need I elaborate further? I guess no.

But that doesn't mean we can't be treated equally. Equally respected.

Sometimes I wish to shout out loud to idiots who make sexual statements to other women

Don't you have a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, girlfriend(s) or wife or daughter? How would you feel if someone made such indecent statement on them? Can you just laugh it off? Seriously?

But I didn't because I do not associate myself with IDIOTS.

 and BY THE WAY

just want y'all to know something I learnt this week

Polygamy = legalised infidelity

Go ahead and think about this statement.

I think it is true.

Just sharing. Don't we all LOVE to share?
